Green Bay Stadium Boards and "The Barn" History
Photos  |  Birch Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast Brochure |  Arthur Norgaard Brochure
The boards were used as bleachers in the Green Bay Wisconsin stadium where Green Bay's favorite football team plays today. These wooden bleachers were used as seating in the 1960's during the glory years before the wood was replaced with aluminum. There are a limited number of Green Bay Stadium Boards for sale, some boards even with the seat number!
Arthur Norgaard, a well known businessman, had gained possession of the Green Bay stadium boards to use as flooring in a barn being renovated as a unique fashion store opening March 14th, 1970. The seating numbers on the bleachers were exposed between the beams in the lower level of the main building.

After the passing of Arthur Norgaard in 1983, the complex was sold and renovations were done for a Bed & Breakfast named Birch Creek Inn.
A fire in 1999, caused by lightning destroyed the main buildings. After most of the rubble was removed, many of the Green Bay Stadium Boards were saved. The boards had been protected on top by dense foam padding and thick shag carpeting laid over plywood. The boards were carefully removed and stored since November 1999.
